I've had a blood shrimp in my tank for 7-10 days now. If I already have it in my tank, should I avoid getting other shrimp, crab, etc. in my tank? .. if not, which other shrimp, crab, etc. would be compatible with it?!

Depends how large your tank is.
Blood reds do good as a pair.
I have had a few cleaner shrimp with them and no problems what so ever.

I had a cleaner shrimp and a couple peppermints and added a blood shrimp to my 75. About 10 days later, no blood shrimp. Don't know who was to blame.

I have a 36 gallon tank. Are they best paired when buying two at once or would they still be compatible if you introduce one into your tank later on? Thanks for your help

I will get three as two will pair up for sure.
The third one will become shrimp food.
