Interesting. I know when I fought them I used bottled bacteria to try and outcompete them to starve them out.
Nice. Do you remember what kind? Or the purpose of it?

Fwiw, these dinos ive got in my tank ostreopsis sp. Seem to love high no3 and 0 po4 in my tank. Im dosing po4 hopefully to beat them again. They are a mixotrophic species capable of eating and photosynthesis. Their mucous webs apparently act like a spider web immobilizing organisms that might try to eat them like nematodes.
 
Wow, @Cory that paper is really out in left field. I don't think I've seen any other research along similar lines. Plenty of other papers about bacteria associated with dinos, but internal bacteria not controlled by the host dinoflagellates? That's different.

Thanks. I was going to mention you but couldnt remember how to spell the names lol. Any idea how much they dosed? Im lost about the amounts.
