Cheap is not the option I would rather get some thing that is going to last and be good for the tank. Now I am stuck between doing hard Coral because I was told that I need a sump pump in order to efficiently run hard coral so I am thinking about live rock and soft coral unless I can actually put in hard-coralWelcome to R2R btw. Also I gotta laugh at "blower" for a second...
Okay so you have tons of options and price points. What type of coral and tank do you imagine? I fancy the vortech MP40s and MP10s for customization and the lack of cords. They are pricey but after running my tank with cheap Chinese powerheads I definitely see their value.
i am not looking to add sps for a long time. i just want to start with some live rock and a couple fish for a while to make sure the tank stay stable and in about a year ill get into the sps aspect of itI see you are a fast moving individual. lol
Start a build thread and tag me in it. For SPS you will need to let the tank mature (and likely longer due to lack of sump) for a while (like 6 months minimum). Check out the MP40 and MP10s. They are magnetic, replaceable wetside heads that last with good cleaning schedules and dry side that will last a very long time.
