Blowing out live rock

I currently do a 10 gallon water change every weekend. When refilling the tank I run the hose over the live rock to help clean out the rock and get all the waste created by everything on to the tank bottom to be cleaned out on the next wc. I run a bare bottom tank and it gets siphoned every weekend. Ive tried siphoning the rock but i do not get nearly as much out of it. Is this ok or Am I doing more harm than good?

I blow my rocks off once a week with my turkey baster style tool. As long as you're not blasting your coral with water you're fine.
