Hi Guys!

I received my LED DIY kit from reefledlights.com and got 8 blues and 4 whites. What would be the nice arrangement of the lights. My heat sink is 8.46 x 6 inches. I was
thinking about this:

B B B B
W W W W
B B B B

OR ALL IN LINE

B B B B
.W W W W
B B B B

What is the best arrangement of the blues and whites?

Thanks,

Mike

Mine is similar to your first arrangement. I've had it up for about 5 months now and it seems to be working out well. I have no issues with color banding.

if like many scapes you plan on having your lps up front and your highest light corals center back, something like this would look cool to really highlight your corals

BWBW
WBWB
BBBB

when I did mine I did the white in the middle of the blues. the white over takes the blue. Whet deg lens did you get? mine are 60 deg and I spaced them about 1" apart from each other. I did
B B B B
W W W W
B B B B

Nice spred and if you put it high enough it will mix nicely with out the spot lighting. make sure that you have a small fan blowing over the heat sync the led's put out a lot of heat
