Ok, im freakling out...this is the pride of my collection. but i dont ever think it has been happy. i have had it since april and it hasnt encrusted the frag mount yet. I didnt see it fully extended often. Now the tips are turning white and the coloring doesnt look as good. I have moved it to less flow, then more flow, then irregular flow...not sure if i can do anything to make it happy...im so codependant with my corals :)

Any tips or like to good articles?

i find that cali tort doesnt like the high alk.whats your alk at. mine is happy with alk of 7.5 dkh
i also find yes it does like the bright light but prefers to be lower from the tank.

I'm curious do you run gfo. I use gfo and when I did a media change I put in a little to much in the reactor. Within the next couple of days my tort tips started whitening. I cut those burnt tips of and it finally has come back. It was a close one. I was in your shoes. Hope this helps

wow -- good call i didnt even think about that. I did put some Carbon & Zeolite Blend in my sock a few weeks ago...thats gone tonight. That may be it. I didnt even think about that...

All those things mentioned are good points but, What are your parameters?

Alk?
Cal?
phos?
Salanity?
