Blue clove polyps and zoas

I may try the peroxide dip after I get some plugs and frag what I can in case I lose some. How do I dip.overnight. just put in a bowl and let sit over night?

Sorry - let me clarify - when I left the zoas overnight in peroxide, it was an accident. I certainly wouldn't advise such a long dip. Anywhere from 10-30 min is a good starting point. Some species are more tolerant than others so watch 'em closely. Protopalys don't like fw or peroxide as much as others. I am also careful with people eaters which don't seem to like either dip as much, IME. I dip all new zoas and anything suspected to harbor a pest in fw from my cichlid tank - similar pH. Peroxide is good for algae and may help the BCP since it is more sensitive to it. FWIW, forgetting a frag of zoas overnight in the cichlid tank is not a good idea either, but it did kill the BCP on that rock quite well...

Can you just use normal Hydrogen peroxide from the store

Yes you use the same peroxide they sell at the store. I got a large bottle of the Wal-Mart brand that I use to dose my tank and things are looking really good.

Extended fresh water dips should kill them - be careful not to overdo it. They are a bad menace. I still cringe when I think of how many zoas I lost to BCP. 10% peroxide in salt water may help, too but the runners that connect the polyps seem to bore into the rock, enabling them to return. I left a frag of zoas in the peroxide last week overnight. Zoas are fine and I don't see the BCP.

Yeah, I only use 10-20% peroxide to saltwater mix.

Use fluke tabs it works and we know it and your zoos will not even know the treatment is happening. I sent u a PM.
