about 8 months ago i bought 2 frags of blue clove coral and both grew nicely joined up and have covered the large rock i put them on. in the last few weeks the polyps have started closing and then dying back to the point that its nearly back to the original frags which also dont look to good.
my readings and lighting is the same, there are only 2 things that i can think of.
1 we had a heatwave a couple of months ago and my tank was up to 94 degress for three days untill i got a chiller, but the water has been ok for at least 6 weeks now so i would have thought it would be recovering.
2 i have a large clump of xenia which has got even larger and i need to clear some out , but do you think the xenia could be releasing toxins that is killing off the blue clove, they are not touching by the way, about 6 inches apart
anyone got any ideas
