so my flower anemone retracted after I accidentally touched it while feeding and I noticed this stuff that looks like blue coralline on the rock. I remember seeing something like this once on another forum and it turned out to be some kind of sponge? And yes I know I have red bubble algae and aiptasia, my tank is having all kinds of biodiversity lately

I would guess a sponge. Can you scrape it off with your nail? If you can't maybe coralline. Either way, I am jealous!!

I'm still waiting on the blue coralline algae myself. If it was real it would be everywhere... We all like that blue in our tanks....

I had some on my old tank but pink and green coralline out compete it ten-fold! I bet if we all had blue we would wish we could get pink lol.

i got blu coraline growing on my skimmer, it's beside my fuge section, probly where it gets its light from

I have a little red and a bunch of pink with enough green to give shrek a run for his money. I love the pink but I personally think the green is pretty ugly.

Pictures will always help... Not kind of blue, not sort of blue, but BLUE. They would be bagging it up if it was common. A phase perhaps?

The rock it's on has brought all sorts of odd things to the tank
