I've had a blue damsel for several months and all of a sudden it is fanning up sand everywhere in my tank...including all over my corals...all the way to the glass bottom. Any suggestions on what to do to get him to chill out? There are plenty of hiding spaces in my rock. Getting very irritated :(

Maybe he will just stop... I don't have experience with damsels but if he started out of no where maybe he will stop. I have to remind myself at times that these are animals we are keeping and we don't have control over their behavior.

I had two in my tank. Proper little buggers. Always facing up to the pair of clowns. Tried to catch the a while ago and failed. Just got stung off the anemone. Couldn't empty enough rock out of the tank. ( due to coral and the anemone ). So with great delight I got a new tank! And then went to my local fish shop.
GET THEM OUT.
They were aggressive to each other and the the clowns. The female clown has no dorsal fin due to the blue bullies.

I hate damsels I refuse to buy them and will not deploy them in any of my tanks ever.

Removing them is difficult, I have always had to remove all rock and coral and re-aquascape to get rid of the terrors.

I've also never heard of this behavior from them but they have a nack for doing whatever will drive you nuts, cost you money, and create havoc.
