I bought 15 blue damsels 1 one week ago, the very first thing I did is start the Cupramine treatment. I use Hana checker to make sure the 0.5ppm is maintained.

The things is they are dying every single day one of them dies. What I see is that some of them has some king of white bug spots close to her face.

Do you know what it is?

I can’t open the pic. Could you pls repost?

Hard to tell, could be aggression or a number of diseases..

Thanks for the reply.... uploaded the image again.

That looks like more than just ich, like velvet or brook potentially.

@Frtdrmrose7 will have better insight. He is a wizard master with this type of thing.

I’m not a master lol, I’ll reserve that for a few others who are on here all the time also.
It’s not velvet because the spots are raised, it could be ich I guess but the spots seem too irregular to me for that and they are in copper.
The appearance almost looks like lympho but that’s not fatal typically.
How many other fish have these spots? Have you done a FW dip on one with the spots?
Have you noticed any aggression? I’m asking because I’m curious if the deaths are from one getting picked off by the others which damsels are known to do.

Don't be modest lol.

Good catch on the raised spots, I missed that. It definitely appears to be something more than ich IMHO.

Some of them have something similar... some white spots or wash out areas..... Ive seen some aggression but nothing to worry about.....

Just did a FW dip and some of them drop from the fish and some black tiny spots with skin on it as well. As soon as I did the dip their color become much more vibrant...

I put them back into QT again, but I guess issue is still there. Only temp relief.

I have 2 QT with different fishes... but I used the same equipment for cleaning and water changes, so Im am worried about if I spread whatever it is to the other QT.

Could it be brook?

Did anything that dropped off look like opaque sesame seeds? If so you have flukes. Treat with Prazipro then 5-7 days later do a 25% WC and dose again.
