Hello, ive had this Chromis (1 of 4) for probably 2 months. He was introduced with 3 others. He has always stuck to the sandbed even if the others try to school with him. He acts like he can't see; food floats right past him and he swims by darting in reverse and then moves slowly forward testing the substrate for food. He's hungry though - ate a ton of mysis that was gathered in a corner last night. So all of that has been going on since being introduced to the tank, although we really only considered he might be blind last week
Anyway, last night I noticed a red mark/injury under one eye and the eye is beginning to pop out. I would guess he injured himself because he's always crashing into the rocks. I want to do everything I can to save him. Any ides? Thanks in advance!

Thank you!

If the eye looks swollen you can also try Epsom Salt to help relieve it. It won't cure the underlying cause, but it could help. If you go this route, use 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons.

Ok, and could I do that at the same time as treating with meds?

Epsom salts are pretty much safe to use with everything as far as I am aware.

Thanks. I have metro and the herbal Artrmiss on hand. I can pick up do other stuff tomorrow. I need to re-read the disease treatment guides sent earlier.

Thanks. Do you think it will it be available at my lfs or a drug store?
