According to FedEx tracking I was supposed to get my livestock order today before 4:30 p.m. When 5:00 rolled around I called FedEx CS and found out my shipment was hung-up in Memphis, TN!! They said they'd call back within 1-2 hours and it hasn't quite been 2 hours yet. Whoa I was excited about an order of fish and coral from Saltwaterfish.com. If it doesn't get here til tomorrow then everything might be dead when I get it. What I don't get is why it went to Tennessee? That's 2,000 miles too far east!! In any case when they get here I'll acclimate everything and see how it goes and if anything dies within the 15 day guaranty I'm getting my money back.I ordered 5 yesterday and they'll be here tomorrow for my RSR 250. I don't have a quarantine tank setup but I'll do a double dip of formalin then methylene blue. I have a flame hawkfish that has to go and a large coral beauty that I love that could be potential bullies. I will isolate them in the acclimation cage for a couple days within the DT before I turn them loose and I will go to feeding twice a day.
They are some of my favourite schooling fish. While vacationing in Polynesia, I found big shoals of them. One particular place, in Moorea, in the lagoon at the Hilton hotel, there is a large colony of stags that is growing in 5 feet of water directly on the sand and it is filled with chromis, along with lots of other damsels and fish. In subsequent visits, I always worry that the colony has been destroyed by an errant boat or idiot tourist, but eventually I find a large shoal of several hundred chromis feeding in the current and follow them back to the stag colony as they stream back to it as I approach.

On an introductory scuba dive in Bora Bora, I was surprised to find massive coral heads on the bottom of the channel surrounding the island. Again with huge shoals of chromis feeding in the current. Unfortunately I can't find any photos of that event. I don't think I took many actually, as I was too focused on controlling my breathing!
