I just got 3 blue green chromis. They all looked good when they arrived but then one had some tail fin damage an now the other two have scale damage. Not sure if the other tank inhabitants are being aggressive or if it is something else. Any thoughts?

The picture looks way more reddish. It is mostly whitish in the tank. I have a yellow tang, bicolor angle, cardnilalfish, and maroon clown. I added the 3 chromis with a firefish who seems to be doing fine.

Chromis fish are very susceptible to uronema infections. This looks like it could be uronema... especially if you aren't seeing any aggression.

You might want to remove them and start treatment. The downside to uronema, once it's introduced into a tank, it is almost impossible to completely erradicate. It's not like ich or velvet where you can go fallow and starve it out.

What medication do you recommend for uronema?

Is API general cure enough for treating this? I am also having a chromis with scales raised on one side and a pale red spot at the base of the fin. But not as bad as the one in the picture. Please advise. Thanks.
