Blue green macroalgae

Hey all.

Tank is 5mo old and have this blue green fluorescent macroalgae growing. Not sure if I should keep it? Wife seems to like it so might not remove it. Thoughts?

Check out blue hypnea or blue ochtodes and see if it matches. I’m looking for some if you decide to get rid of it LOL
 
Tanks for the info. I think you are correct with the ochtodes. I believe it came on some KP Aquatic live rock. If you're in MN I'd be happy to share

Nope, michigan. Thought you might be here with your MSU pic!

Buy yes, that algae was recommended to me as one that less fish find palatable and wouldn’t grow out of control. Lucky!

Hmm. Can't really tell what is from that pic, but doesn't look like octhodes/hypnea to me. I'd keep it though. Blast it with light and it'll probably color up.
