Okay so I've had my tank running for about 3 months. Today I found myself looking at another dead blue hermit crab carcass. I bought a blue hermit crab about 2 months ago, just one single crab from the lfs and this is the second time I find this I'm my tank. Does anyone know how this might have happened or what's going on? Very peculiar.
And no other shells in the tank. But the ones I've put which I boiled and placed in the tank.

But looking at it closer I can see eyes and the body part all chewed up. Weird

Now that I look closer at it I can tell its not a blue leg hermit.

nope not a blue leg, i don't know the exact name but those get pretty large i had one that lived in a shell the size of a small fist!

Ya I have one that looks like his and have been trying to figure out what kind it is also

Ya guess it's not a blue hermit. Lfs sold it to me as a blue hermit. Either way weird seeing the molten or another spontaneous crab appear dead with no shell.. Mystery continues

Looks to be a thin stripped hermit crab. Easiest way to tell is the stripes on the legs. Then blue hermits will have very distinctive blue legs.

Lol yes very true my wife said the same thing!
Here's one more of Mr. Crabs.
This crab seems peaceful. Hopefully stays that way.
