Blue hippo eating Xenia (Pom Pom)

Hello all, have any of you had experience with a blue hippo tang eating Xenia mine started to do it last night and I'm not happy about it does that mean I'm going to have to get rid of her to keep xenia in my aquarium, I have clove polyps and she doesn't touch those but she is starting to eat my pom-poms have any of you experienced this before ?

I wish mine would, I can't kill my xenia fast enough. It may have developed a liking for it and yes, you would have to get rid of her if you want xenia. A LFS had a purple tang decide he liked it and ate every piece in their show tank.

I have had her for about 6 years now, maybe she has gotten to big for the tank? She started picking up all kinds of frags and moving them around the tank beautiful fish but becoming a real pain.

Sooner or later you will come to the realization xenia is a scourge. Wish my hippo or purple tang (or anything) would eat mine. I should have known better but I put an isolated clump of white pom pom on the sand bed and it was fine for a while. Then that clump exploded and each branch moved off about the tank to form new colonies. I kind of have the situation under control but still have some to destroy.

Shes not gone full rouge yet... but shes a nipper for Xenia, still deciding what to do with her to keep or not to keep.
