My fish was fine when I went to bed last night and this morning she is losing color on her face. I'm not sure of the cause. I recently added a frogspawn and gold torch, so my initial thought was maybe she was stung. My tank is mostly sps with a few euphylia and mushrooms. I just checks the parameters and everything is in line. Here are a couple pictures to help (sorry for the iphone pics). Thank you for the help
The white goes from under her mouth, over one side of her lips, and just above her mouth. Everywhere else on her body is in perfect shape and no other fish show signs of anything.

On the top two pictures there is no white on the right side, that's just glare from the lights. Hlle would appear that drastically overnight?

I came back inside right now after assembling a porch swing for the wife and she is pretty much back to normal except for a small little spot under her mouth. I'm not sure what's going on!

Maybe she is scratching her face when pecking at rocks. They usually aren't grazers so not sure what she is trying to eat.

it's really hard to tell from the picture but your description sounds like it could be a sting or maybe just an abrasion from hitting it on rock - if it's eating and otherwise acting normally, I'd just observe it and make sure it doesn't get worse. It sounds like it may already be on the mend.

Hippos are twitchy, easily stressed fish, and will exhibit blotchy ness as a result. It isn't permanent.
