Blue Hippo Tang and ich

We didn't get the Hippo because of Finding Dory, we've planned to get one all along. Why is a 37 gal. The reason for ich? She is still small, about the size of a quarter.

Thank you for all the suggestions and help! She's got fewer spots on her currently, and none are visible on any of the other fish, so far.

Fewer spots doesn't mean they are successfully combating it, as the numbers visibly change as a natural part of the cycle of Ich.

And I agree that the size of your tank had nothing to do with this. That fish is as small as the clown.

It's not a cause for ich, but a Hippo Tang is a fast grower who needs lots of swimming space. So, a 37 gallon wouldn't have sufficed for long.

sorry, but do not understand the meaning of "ich", can you explain the meaning?
I think I understand that it is a fish disease.
However I regularly (once a month) food the fish with fresh garlic and every day made with garlic essence of food.

Ich is a parasite, that are obligate feeders on fish. It's real name is Cryptocaryon irritans.

Not trying to go all Tang Police on you, but she needs at least a 180 gallon once fully grown. So, in maybe 2 years time.
