Maybe HLLE? Head and Lateral Line Erosion. I’m not sure, so I wouldn’t medicate on that suggestion.

One of the worst cases of head and lateral line erosion ive seen. I also notice slightly pinched stomach.
One remedy is to assure best water quality possible and especially diet consisting of:
LRS herbivore diet
Mysis shrimp
Spirulina brine shrimp
Small plankton
Formula 2 frozen
Hikari marine cuisine
Nori seaweed basted with garlic

add selcon vitamins to the foods for immunity health and stamina

what foods are you currently feeding?
Any stray voltage you’re aware of?

What is your ammonia-ph-nitrate readings and what test kits are you using?

We need more history, how long has it had it, is it getting worse, is it on both sides of the fish, etc,

I'm sorry I forgot to put in the details that he died... I just wanted to know what it was and how to cure it if it ever happens to me again. I’m in Reddit when that happened to him. Within 24 hrs after posting it on Reddit he passed...

He eats the Hikari marine. He doesn’t eat the Nori (probably because it's not basted with garlic), I have the brine shrimp but there wasn’t any ready when he was still alive.
I have no selcon vitamins, where can I get them?

What do you mean by stray voltage?

0 amonia
8.0 ph
10 ppm Nitrate

Most of my test kits are Hanna except for Magnesium which is a salifert.

Stray voltage can be determined by:
Voltmeter
OR
Sticking clean finger into tank and sump area where you will feel a sting

Head and Lateral Line Erosion is a chronic condition and isn't fatal after years and years. The fish would have died from some other reason, but after-the-fact, it is difficult to say.
