Blue Hippo Tang, Sick or prolonged stress?

The base of the tail looks a bit red and blotchy, is that the case or just the pic? Bacterial infection comes to mind with redness

Yes, I was noticing that as well. A little red/brown blotch.

Thought I've seen similar coloring on other tangs though so didn't think much of it?

And I haven't don't fresh brine. I'm waiting on eggs.

poss put cardboard on three sides of tank will reduce stress
