I have a frag of blue hornets which arrived about two weeks ago in great condition. It had beautiful alternating skits. I have had it low in my tank and even went without lights for two days to fight back some algae. But, as a result, the skirts are now all faded and the same brownish color.

Should I move these into more intense light? Anyone know if the colors will come back on the skirts?

Thanks,
Dave

definitely! zoas can change so quickly.

+1

I had purple death in a nano with compact flourescent and as soon as I switch to another tank with metal halides, the colors came back within a day.
You might want to acclimate them to the light though.
