Don't know if this has been brought up before but I have a single head Blue Hornet that I purchased a couple of months back that has not split yet. I have a single head of God of War and a couple of Magicians that I purchased a couple of weeks later that have already split to the point where I already have about 6 new small heads of the God of War & about 5 of the Magicians.
Is that normal for the Hornets to take this long?

Blue hornets are weird...... I started w/ 3 polyps and they exploded about 1 month after I added them. Now I have about 20+ polyps but they have been like that for about 3 months. What lighting are they under?

Medium flow medium to high lighting and spot feeding will get it to split. All hornets are very slow in the beginning usually

I'm with ya brotha. Ive got a frag of four that Ive had for 7 months that still look the same as the day I bought em. Many have told me they can be extremely slow growers.

I bought 2 back during the big live sale. I've only grown one new polyp since then. Med flow med light

They're all different. I had a two polyp frag of Organisms that sat for about 6 months without growth. It suddenly took off and six additional months, and I now have more than 30!

...but yes, my Blue Hornets are now just sitting around not growing..LOL.

I have them under T-5's, 6-18watt bulbs

I do have them down towards the bottom like many have their frags. I will have to raise them up and see if there is a difference

try feeding the the new life spectrum small fish pellets, all my zoas love it. i had some red hornets that grew like crazy feeding them these... but ended up losing them in a move

They're a hit or miss. I got a single polyp frag, grew into 4, then stop growing and thats where I'm at
