So a few months back I got a single polyp of Blue Hornets. Now it has grown into 4 polyps but lacking the bright thick colors it had when it was just 1 or 2 polyps. All 4 are dull and small. Im going to get my water tested tomorrow

Where do you guys place them in the tank?

I have mine on a frag rack about 5" from the water line and my powermodule about 8" above that. My colors are really bright on mine. Now they are at the end of the bulbs, so they are not getting directly blasted but still get a great deal of light. They are growing very well

ill move them up. Polyps are about half the size they used to be

I have mine at the bottom of a 12 gallon nano under 2x50/50 24w pcs....colors are awesome and size is sexy...these things are known to be finicky though.

I have lost two colonies of the blue, none of the Red and none of the Purple. I do have another colony sitting at the very top of waterline, 4 x T5HO about 5" off the tank that seems to be responding well. It is getting moderate to heavy flow.

Sorry guys. Lighting is a 150w sunpod with evils LED actinics. I don't feed too often, when I do I mix mysis with rotifiers. Have cyclops but don't use it as much.
