Blue hornets losing inner ring

I think it is from the leds and too much light? Any ideas

Hmmm, Funny, mine lose the inner ring if they don't get enough light. I have them under MH/T5/LED combo though.

I'm running a vega on a 9" deep tank around 40%. They are laying flat tho I figured if not enough light they would be up off the rocks reaching a little?

Don't worry too much about it. The oral disc can be like chalk and color can be "wiped" almost...kind of funky, I know, but no need to worry. The few that I've had this happen to, have all regained their color! My blue hornets are literally going through this right now too!

low shaded area with your shallow tank. Trust me on that part. same thing with red hornets i have them in a shaded area and there both bright as can bee with amazing bright skirts and the center is icy white and deep blue.

ogm!!!! i hate when i doooo that.! i did that toa few of my god of wars................. soooo maddddddd at least im not the only one that does that. my girlfriend still thinks you cant smudge them and take away there color.. lol
