They most likely were not Blue Hornets. They were the knock-offs that everyone was selling a little while ago. Many of the frags I saw melted away. Blue hornets are rare and still command a premium.I had a rock with over 200 Blue Hornets on it that I bought for a steal at an LFS up here. They didn't last very long. :sad:
All that's left are three lonely polyps but they seem to be doing great!
aerius007 got purple hornets from me. But, the photo shows blue hornets. I have never had blue hornets but have neen looking for some.
they are... IMHO...blue hornets and black hole suns could be the same thing. Especially if your first pic and your second pic are from the same frag.

Ok, just to add to the confusion, this is a colony of blue hornets I had. I think they are the African Blue Hornets. Like most others that have them, they are not doing good in my tank. For a while they did great but have pretty much closed up and turned brown. If you have any tips on how to save them please share with me.
