Blue Hypnea Algae turning red...

I was given some Blue Hypnea Algae with some chaeto and unfortunately, the Blue Hypnea Algae has started to turn red. The chaeto is thriving under the high lighting and I thought the hypnea would become even more blue under more intense lighting, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Where am I going wrong with the hypnea?

If it is an iridescent orange, it is dying. I couldn’t grow it either. Back off on light intensity.
