Blue Hypnea - Orange?

I have some Blue Hypnea that is growing in the sump and has some good blue color in parts.
It is firm and tight and expanding.

But I also see what looks like large orange sections that may be expanding. (Looks pink in this picture)

Any thoughts as to what will keep it Blue?
Last ICP showed that this tank is high in Iron.

For identification purposes, use white light only. Are you using this as a display refugium or is it for nutrient management?

Thank You for your replies. I bought it primarily for a 20L macroalgae tank, but currently it is in the Sump refugium area to grow out and be split into two sections. Part may end up in the 75g Reef display.

This picture is it under a regular grow bulb LED without the blue led strip.

Thank you for the help.

Initially it was weak on arrival and so it was placed in low flow so it wouldn't disintegrate. It is stronger and tighter now and I can move it into greater direct sump flow as an extra Maxi-jet 1200 keeps the sump flow moving for all the sump frags above what would otherwise be very passive.

Tank phosphates average .02-.04 says a Hanna ULR Phosphate unit. I am one who sometimes adds phosphate just to keep that range.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your phosphates? What does the Hypnea do to let you know po4 is too low? What kind of flow do you keep yours in?
