So I have a pair of BJ Triggers for a couple of years and for the past several months the male has been demonstrating what I think is mating behavior vs. aggressive behavior. His colors change to where his body becomes almost a shimmery silver, his eye becomes very dark as well as his trigger. He then swims kinda sideways near the female. The past couple of days though he is getting really aggressive by chasing her and going after her in what doesn't seem to be a mating behavior but just pure aggression, but I'm not sure. Any experience with these guys?

Sounds like mating behavior to me.....absolutely! It can be a love/hate relationship but I hope it ends up ok and you'll have a great show!

I think so but it’s much more violent to the point where she’ s hiding out from him. The male also did like a wiggle in a cave and caused waves which made a divot in the sand. Wondering if that’s for the eggs. But she seems to have zero interest and now seems scared of him.
