I currently have a female blue jaw trigger in my 120 gal tank and she has been in there for about 2 months. She has been a model citizen has never picked on anything and has great personality. I would like to add a male blue jaw or a red tail trigger into the tank. Has anyone had experience with adding a new trigger to a tank that already has one. I have tried to look it up online but find to many conflicting answers. Any help would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks ,

Years ago I added a juvi Niger to a tank that had an adult Picaso. The Picasso chased him every time he came out of the rocks. The Niger just stayed in the hole for many days. I would hand feed him in the hole so he would get some food. He eventually started getting brave. Today, about seven years later, the Niger is twice the size of the Picasso and they don't even acknowledge each other. It wasn't easy for me, but it can obviously be done.

Blue jaw triggers are not terribly aggressive as far as triggers go, so if you use a social acclimation box when introducing the new fish you should be fine.
