I've noticed my blue legs hermits sometimes climb on my corals, is that safe? It doesn't seem like they're trying to eat them but I just wanted to be sure.

I got a few frags of fire forest montipora and the one frag was laying in the guy's tank in the substrate. Needless to say the tissue died and when I got it home I glued it to a plug and about a month later I had GHA growing on the dead spot and I seen my blue legged hermit hanging off the side of the coral and the next day there was not a Trace of any GHA, the tissue has since regenerated and in my opinion they don't bother any corals except maybe crawling over top of them when the food comes out LOL.

That's good to know. I bumped one off of my green devils hand frag lol I thought he was trying to eat it but there was no damage thankfully. I'll let them be now haha.

Totally normal and short of taking the crabs out there's nothing to be done about it. They can be like wrecking balls if you don't have your frags secured very well. Snails will do the same thing. It's no different than the ocean.

Must be something you might be able to not see that it likes to eat perhaps?

In another thread I was mentioning about my bumble bee snails and how they like to sit under my blue mushroom frag.. they're chewing away at food Source that's spreading throughout my system right now.
