My Zoa's are looking like they are vanishing slowly and I have a big zoa garden. Some colonies are closed a lot the last couple of weeks. So 2 nights in a row I've seen hermit crabs crawling on them and hanging out on closed colonies. Are they eating my zoas? If a crab gets hungry enough will it turn to zoas? My tank is pretty clean, not alot of algae and really good flow so I bet food doesn't settle much....

Anyone ever have hermit crabs start eating coral?

My scarlettes have started to. And they are considered a lot more reef safe than blues.

They aren’t interested in oyster or mysis.
