They become overwhelming....there are products to remove them like aptasia x.

Some leave them and some nuke their tanks when they see them.

Thanks I ended up getting a peppermint shrimp and the product just in case.

in that case if you can remove the rock id shove a hot soldering iron into it gets em every time for me.

Mostly harmless, but they can spread like wildfire. More of a nuisance than anything else.
