Today I noticed that my six line wrasse has a decently large blue spot on one side.

The fish is acting normal and I don’t see anything that would make me think it’s something to be concerned with but I want to make sure that I treat accordingly if needed.

I can get better pictures if needed.

Looks like it may be an injury and what we are seeing is the underlying color of flesh. Is it smooth, rough, or like a bite? Any aggression in the tank?

Seems smooth. Can’t say it looks like a bite but I also can’t say that I have seen a bite.

There is no aggression that I see when watching the tank. All the fish swim happily around.

Other inhabitants are ocellaris clown, green chromis and a diamond goby.

Clowns are part of the Damsel family. They can be real mean. Heck we have plenty of members who comment how they have to be careful when putting their hands in their tanks as the clowns will bite them. One had a clown that bit him on the eyeball as he was leaning over the tank doing maintenance. Yikes!

That’s true. It’s strange that the aggression would come out when the 2 have been together for 2ish years now but I will keep my eye on them!

Keep a close eye on the area for a bacterial infection. Here's more info:
