Does anyone have any pictures of this coral? I am considering picking one up from a local reefer but can’t seem to find many pictures online of what it will grow into

A more mature TGC Blue Planet.

Wow! Is that yours? It seems it’s not a very common one. I’m wondering if the colors change with lighting intensity. It might take some experimentation on my part

Looks like a blue and green tenuis to me. One of the most common corals in my experience. Am I wrong here or what? Are people thinking since it's called blue planet that it's the same as the red planet but with blue tips?

Exactly, I have a Tenuis that looks just like it.

I think people are slapping new names on corals that have been around for years.

True and since the Indo shut down it's got extreemly bad. I just found it wierd they took a picture of the one area of growth that could look like it could pass for a hyanthicus, or red planets growth. The beautiful new growth that looks like a tenuis is not highlighted much in the picture. It's definitely been fragged a bunch from the looks of it too. That's a huge profit at 200 bucks a frag.

Which picture are you referring to? It definitely looks like a tenuis.

It’s a tenuis and been around for a few years. Lineage direct from TwoGuysCorals.
To be specific it’s directly from Ray’s home tank.

Maybe blue green is common but it’s not usually that bright shade of green. I’m still going for it!

It should be bright deep green and blue even under 20k lighting. Viewing under royal blue lights will bring the reddish/orange polyps out.
This tenuis goes back to ReefRaft Asia days.

I keep a more daylight spectrum tank. Do you think it will still sand out there?

You’re gonna have to play around with placement and wait. Mine’s at the same spot for 2 years or so under radion G3 pros 330 par more or less with Apogee MQ510. Your nutrient levels will also be a factor. Also many acros color differently under different type of lights. Some do well under T5s some under leds. It’s been many years since I played around with 400w Radiums.
