Blue Regal Tang in QT

I got a blue tang from Live Aquaria this morning hes in my QT hes laying down on the bottom of the tank against the one of the air stones should i be concerned? or is normal for this type of tang he went from hiding behind the heater in the tank to laying there only moves around a little i turned all the lights off

Oh forgot ammonia and nitrite are both 0 this QT was already cycled and i did dose the first dose of prazi when i first added him

Im not an expert, but you may try adding a piece of pvc s he can sort of hide shall I say. He may be stressed, how is his breathing?

breathings normal and theres 3 hiding spots/pvc elbows for him to hide if he wants

Oh ok, I didn't see them. In my opinion if the breathing is fine, I would just continue to monitor him. I know how I would feel after being in a bag in a box!!! I hope he pulls through well for you. Good luck and please continue to update.

Yes of all tangs, they seem to be the only ones that lay on their sides like that. Once they go into your display you will witness them laying somewhat snug between crevices to sleep or hide at times.

at what point should i be worried? its been over 24 hours and hes still laying down he swims around when im not in the room im pretty sure because hes in different hiding spots under the pvc every time but he doesn't move very far should i give it a few days? i cant even feed him like this because when i put food in he never moves from under the hiding spot

hes actually up and swimming around now guess i got a little too nervous
