A little weird …
Bought this blue ring quite awhile ago . After being bullied after acclimation he/she will not leave the one area of the tank . Never see her/him eating with the others but I’m sure it’s eating .
It’s constantly hiding in the rocks , amounts the Xenia
What can I do to get it to become a free swimmer like the rest of the fish ?

How long have you had it and do you know where it was collected from? I ask because I lost a bellus that way and it turned out to probably be cyanide poisoning.

Sometimes hard to find but tucked in this rock is the most common place.
or in the small cave behind the gsp

please forgive me for the cyano . Tomorrow is maintenance day

Is it still being bullied and if so by what?
And are you sure it doesn't come out when you're not in the room?

I know tangs are often tricked by mirrors that can lower their aggression towards other fish.

There is a mirror that worked great for acclimating

the tiny sailfin tang was the most aggressive.
Next is the juv emperor Angelfish

Bought it September 10th
And not sure where it was collected ?
Still looks healthy but seams to be of the new gen of society …

are they generally shy and hide a lot ?
Probably not cyanide then. That was just my only thought after seeing it was an Indonesian fish and that it was hiding but you've had it for too long for that to be the case I think.

True. Hmmm
Maybe it eats when you're not in the room? I've had fish (foxface) that were terrified by my presence and I had to peak around the corner to see them. But IDK hopefully someone else will chime in.

Foxface is one of the fish I absolutely love and always had one .
I’ve never had one that was shy . Actually very bold . Comes to the top at feeding with its spines up
