Blue Spot Jawfish Protection HELP!

So my dream fish is a blue spot jawfish and I have finally saved up enough to get one, but I really don't want him to jump out. Here is the portion of the lid that I am the most scared of with him jumping out. I was curious if anyone had any opinions on getting a new lid that will fit my hang on skimmer and or addons that I can do to the glass one I have currently. Thank you guys!

Cut egg crate or plastic to fit around. You need zero gaps.

Also since this is your dream fish you should consider keeping them at cooler temps as they are prone to bsj disease. They are actually from more temperate waters, not tropical.

Ahhhh good idea ill have to do small eggcrate, and ok I did not know that, im currently at a steady 72-75! Thank you so much!

You could always cover the egg crate with netting. Whatever you can find that you can cut for the back
