First I hope I'm posting this in the proper thread!:)

I'm trying to decide what corals to get for my tank. Does anyone have this in their tank or is just familiar with it? It's a peaceful coral, what else could I place next to it? Thanks!

It's not a Zonathid and I wouldn't want it in my tank. I would worry about it getting everywhere. If you could keep it isolated and it doesn't reproduce sexually in an aquarium it would be ok.

Sorry, knew it wasn't a zoa, but I thought it might fit under colony polyp. Maybe a mod can move it to the proper forum.
So, it would spread similar to a Kenya tree? Thank you!

Update! I did a little more research and learned that this coral is an encrusting coral, if it is placed on a rocky surface surrounded by sand it can be contained as it will not grow on the sand!

I have had a quarter sized rock covered with it for almost a year....hasn't really spread at all.
It's a really beautiful coral! I'm going to get one for my tank also!

Yeah, seems pretty bulletproof also. It has survive being moved to three different tanks in very different conditions in each tank and continues to open up each day. Here is a pic from about 6 months ago........

I have it and love it. It doesn't over grow everywhere like GSP. It's peaceful and easily fragged.
