Both good points, it's just my way of doing things. It may have a better chance in my qt tank but as long as it's sitting in the lfs tank, it's their problem.

I bet the lfs you bought the tang from keeps low salinity or copper to keep these parasites at lower numbers.

Yes they do, they always recommend I don't use copper as they have ready put the fish through that trauma. (ok checking out, not trying to high jack a thread)

I agree with all above. Sounds like either velvet and or flukes.

ever see it poop? Maybe internal parasites?
