I got a small (1.5 inch) blue tang that I have in my 55 gallon. Helping my LFS grow them so that he can sell the bigger ones. Seems lively and active, looks like it made friends with my pair of midnight clowns. When I feed my tank mysis shrimp, it seems to go crazy for it. No interest in the seaweed. I purchased a floating veggie clip but it still doesn't want to eat any. I'm confused as I thought blue tangs were herbivores?

They are herbivores but will still demolish mysis. Try rubberbanding nori to a rock so the nori is flat against the rock and see if the tang grazes off of the rock.

They are omnivores. My tangs almost exclusively eat mysis too. Occasionally picks at nori but not enough for me to offer it more than once or twice a week.
