Blue Tang Question

Thanks! I have the fish in QT now. Any suggestions on what I should do to my main tank? Assuming multiple water changes and that sort of stuff.

Main tank goes fallow (fishless) for 76 days to starve out the parasites. Make sure not to use any equipment from the main tank in the QT. 10' space between the tanks is suggested.

I will add I noticed this the other day but didn’t think anything of it but the Panther Grouper and Clown fish seem a little darker in color. No spots just a darker orange not as vibrant and not the typical bright white on the grouper.

Yep. Life goes on in the tank as normal. To make a plus out of this, it could be a good time to add some CUC, corals (after dipping of course), etc. as the tank will be without fish and starving out ich/velvet/brook. Just remember the 76 day clock starts after the last "wet" thing comes out or into the tank.

Damage to the fish's gills, lowers the oxygen to the fish's bloodstream, and can result in decreased coloration. Time is not on your side. If these were my fish, I'd implement Humblefish's Emergency Marine Velvet plan ASAP.

This Wednesday will be 14 days of the rest of the fish in QT and thought I would update. Have not lost any fish and some of the color appeared to start coming back after 5-6 days on the Clown and Panther Grouper. Hopefully this trend continues. Thanks for all the help to everyone who replied!
