Just a quick question

I bought a blue tang with 2 other tang last week
Only the blue tang is the one that swims up a d down the whole day in a corner
The other 2 swims just like any other normal fish
What could it be and how to solve this?

my small blue tang stayed in the rocks at first, swimming in and out of one crevice. comes out more now but stays to the one side of tank mostly. never gone past the half way mark

+1 to the above

But some Qs to help understand better:

What size is the tank, and how many fish are in it total, including these three new tangs?

Its a reefer 525xl with the following fish
2 picasso clown
2 chinese dart fish
1 midas blennie
1 couple flasher wrasses
1 lemon wrasse
1 diamond wrasse
1 salarias rembosus
1 couple yasha+pistol shrimp
1 Blue tang
1 xanthurum
1 other tang dont know the name
1 kauderni
1 hawkfish
1 gramma loretto

All fish are small in sizes even the tangs cause i wanted them to grow with my tank
And there a no signs of aggresion amongst them

Yeah, it probably just needs some time to adjust and find it's place in the tank.

The biggest reasons are usually either that, the tank is too small, or there's not enough stuff in the tank to keep it occupied (more for species that like caves and/or need lots of variety in the space).

Ive got lots of space left for them to hide so thats not the issue :)

A lot of fish do this. I don’t know if it’s a stress response (like a panther striding back and forth in a cage) or an exercise/play thing.

It's a lovely tank!

And yes, it's a stress response. New fish do it a lot, and some just need a little more time than others to adjust to the tank. My blenny did it for a couple of days until he found a home base spot where he felt safe and then began to explore the tank more.

After 2 years, my hepatus blue does this occasionally and is likely playing with its reflection.
