I got a new blue tang a few days ago and noticed it had this powdery substance on it but I'm not entirely sure what it is.. any ideas? or maybe just stress?

Yeah! That's how it looks to me.. it's mainly around his eyes there in the picture. well that's the only one that you can really see

I do see the HLLE on his face. I would certainly be wary of the "powdery" appearance on the rest of the body. Velvet isn't something you want to play around with.

I see HLLE but also hippo tangs often have freckles on the face, both from HLLE and otherwise. Monitor closely though the powdery comment concerns me as well although I don't see it here.
Any swimming in to powerheads? Heavy breathing? Hiding more and hiding from light? Scratching or flashing?

The spots on its face is what is on the rest of the body but I can't get my camera to focus on it.. she is swimming perfectly and eating non stop it seems and just seems to be doing well overall I just wanted to make sure she was okay
