Dakota you have a PM......

Thanks guys I was lucky and unlucky at the same time but it all worked out......I bid on one then got out bid, then bid on the other one and re-bid on the one I really wanted and ended up winning both.I figured I would get out bid on one of them but NOOOOO nobody wanted to bid....But now that I have them I am glad I got them, HOT clams for sure.......

Rob
The only problem with clams is they get big, BIG......With 2 at 7"-8" and one only half way to full size I might have to either get a bigger tank someday or sell a couple off someday......But yea I got addicted much cheaper then scolymias though...

LOL Nice clams Azurel.... I get my B/W teardrop later this week... thanks to you...

I agree a cheaper addiction than Scoly's but I bet in the long run Scoly's are not as finicky and easy to kill..... So maybe the Scoly's are cheaper in the long run.

ahh so you're the one that won the first 2. =) I bid on the one that ended yesterday. Looking fwd to it!

Man that sucks, LMK if you have any questions or need suggestions.

Do you have them in bowls with some sand under them?

Not yet I have to get some plus not sure what I can put the big Maxima in......Really have no where to put bowls or sand but will have to go to the LFS and get a bag of agralive sand today.....I scrubed and cleaned yesterday all I could find and will again today.......I guess all of the cleaning and checking I did intially wasn't thorough enough....Had to came on the Blue Teardrops......

Ok so I checked all clams today and found 2 on one teardrop with an egg mass and found an egg mass on big momma. All other clams were clear of snails and egg masses....Squammies have been clear from day one and no egg masses.....Big squammy is completely away from the rest and looked on her and nothing so that is good.....Still need to go to the LFS today......Got some work to do.

Did you ever think about a yellow coris wrasse. I have one with my 4 clams and never had any pyramid snails. He looks them over all day long as well as the rest of the rock work.

Yea I am looking at those options as well......They don't need a dep sand bed to burrow at night do they? I only have sand in half the tank the rest is egg crate.....I will look into that wrasse as well. Thanks paul.

LOL.....Yes it is.....Hopefully you will have it for years to come....They are truly one of the prettiest Maximas available.....
