Blue throat wrasse variants? Sailfin

Hi, I. Bought this wrasse from an Indo shipment as blue throat fairy wrasse.

I've seen some spectacular blue throats on some before, but was unsure of the origin or phase of the fish at the time.

Will this Indo one develop super blue throat? The one from Phillipines according to online pics seem to have bluer throats. Is there a difference between the two regions? Or it's just with age/phase, since species is same?

The photo quality isn’t great however it looks like this is a true Blue Throat - Cirrhilabrus cyanogularis. These are the same no matter the origin, if the species is the same then generally there is no or minimal variation between regions. Theres some species that this is not the case with - E.g. Cirrhilabrus lubbocki, Cirrhilabrus exquisitus and Cirrhilabrus scottorum.

The Blue Throat developing is all to do with the age of the fish and also if it’s stressed or not. How long has he been in the acclimation box for and is there any hiding spots?

Ah ok , yes ithats why I was wondering. Lubbocks and exquisite came to mind, also some flashers are region dependent too (mccosker).
Just one day in box so far, you can see the Naoko very interested. The blue throat was muted at store too but maybe because I picked it up the same day it was unboxed.
I was gonna put a PVC tube in there today for him and keep him in the box for a week? Till my Naoko cools down at least. hes eating good
