Blue tuxedo urchin is that ok???

Ok so I just got this blue tuxedo urchin yesterday acclimated for about 2hrs eating/moving fine my main concern was that I just seen this hole on it and idk if that is normal or???? First time having a urchin :/

Hmm that's really odd. That being said, it does have it's tentacles way out there looking for food or stuff to grab which is usually a sign of a healthy and active urchin. Keep an eye on it, I'm not sure if there is anything you could do to help if it was an issue for the urchin.
 
Update: blue tuxedo seems healthy just to woke up today and was camouflaged but now I noticed the blue seems to be fading away to brown /navy blue? Was wondering what’s going on now ?
 
Very interesting. In college I used to harvest eggs from these urchins. I would inject the urchins with saline. The injection would leave a hole just like that. The urchin would be fine
