Blue tuxedo urchins eat bryopsis?

A few days ago, i was at a fish store talking with one of the employees. I mentioned that I have bryopsis in one of my tanks...she tried to sell me an urchin...said they eat it. Fact or fiction? My understanding is that nothing eats it

Mine don't even eat hair algae, they just attached it to themselves and wear it around the tank. Mine spend most of their time on the overflow munching on coralline...

I have had the best luck with sea hares.

I have a tuxedo urchin and it mowed down my HA and bryopsis . If you get one and it doesn't work out that way at least they're easy to catch.

I had bryopsis before and my sea hair well eat it my foxface would and my blue tuxedo urchin

I've actually been wanting one for a while, so even if it would t eat the bryopsis, I'd still keep it. I think they're really interesting.

Mine who is called Sir Spikey Puff only eats the coralline algae

So the moral of the story is don't name your urchin, they will then know they can be lazy and only eat desirable algae and ignore the nuisance algae [emoji38]
