Blueface angel with potters angel?

I was under the impression that mixing large and pigmy angels was ok. Are a blueface and potters angel compatible?

Well, the blueface I added is a juv and almost the same size as the potters. The potters is not happy and chasing the heck out of the blueface. I had the blueface in an acclimation box for 2 days and the potters didn't care...I let it out today and its all *****. How much aggression is too much?

Obviously you want as little as possible ... if the blueface is getting physically banged up, that could be a problem fairly quickly.

Ideally, just before lights-out is a great time to open the box and let a new fish swim free - I also like to place a full-length mirror up against one (both if you can pull it off!) end of the tank to distract the angry resident.

The outcome here is of interest - I've got an emperor angel in QT who's about the same size as the flame in my display.

things seem to have calmed down but he was getting chased and nipped at by the potters. usually bedtime is chippy so I felt like early am was a better option. do mirrors work for angels? Ive only used it with tangs

I've seen the flame angel at the mirror when it's up ... but the tangs do focus on it harder.

Then again . . . tangs.

Tough one. Should work it out. Would think it would be the other way around. I would do anything to keep the potters happy since it would be very difficult to find another.
