I recently bought a bluefin angel yesterday and while I know they are shy I just wanted to make sure that this in normal behavior. As I said just bought it yesterday did a 4 hour acclimation things seemed to go well he is in quarantine all the vitals are all 0's ammonia's nitrate and nitrite. The issue is that it doesn't seem to be eating. Or at least it isn't eating immediately when put in the food I have tried mysis shrimp lrs fish frenzy and marine flakes. No spots or any sign of parasite or disease. I am not sure if this fish just picks at food throughout the day of if this isn't normal behavior. Any help or incite would be greatly appreciated.

Well, your fish is still incredibly new to its environment. I've seen some fish that won't eat for 2-3 days. Even though it may be healthy. Don't stress it anymore than is necessary. Do try to give a variety of foods. Try brine, spirulina, nori, and any other foods you have and don't over do it as you don't want to pollute your QT water.

2-3 days, my green clown goby did not eat for a week. I agree with this post some fish take a little longer to acclimate and begin eating. Less stress and variety will win.
